Zarathustra's Sunset

This was done from a photo reference used with permission by Gavin Banns (Zarathustra, on WetCanvas!). The subject is an old farm that was converted into an office park called Narborough Wood Park, in Enderby, England. The image of a winter sunset really appealed to me; the sky seemed to make everything in the scene a shade of orange while the light front on the ground sparkled. I used a limited palette to try and recreate the image in my painting. This painting is currently in a private collection in Illinois.
