Directions

This was one of five paintings I completed specifically for an art show in Manhattan. The show had a theme of "Text in Visual Art," so I approached this theme by gathering photo references of anything in the world around me that had text already on it. The title of each painting then became something in reference to the text in the painting. This was from a photo reference of a coastal path in Southern England, used with permission by Dave Baker. I liked the simplicity of the scene - grass, marker stone, fence, sky.
