Ingredients

This was one of five paintings I completed specifically for an art show in Manhattan. The show had a theme of "Text in Visual Art," so I approached this theme by gathering photo references of anything in the world around me that had text already on it. The title of each painting then became something in reference to the text in the painting. This was from a photo reference of a Ben & Jerry's ice cream factory in Vermont, used with permission by Dave Baker. I found the milk and cream labels on these enormous silos to be amusing. The day was very grey and rainy, so those are storm clouds in the sky.
