Bait
This was one of five paintings I completed specifically for an art show in
Manhattan. The show had a theme of "Text in Visual Art," so I approached
this theme by gathering photo references of anything in the world around
me that had text already on it. The title of each painting then became
something in reference to the text in the painting. This was from a photo
reference of a burger joint in California, used with permission by Dave
Baker. I liked the perspective, the way the building seems to loom. I call
it Bait because that's what the words are - an enticement to reel you in
so you'll buy their fast food.
